Simon Baynes, the Member of Parliament for Clwyd South, has today asked the Leader of the House for a debate to take place as soon discussing the role of the Standards and Privileges or Procedure Committee, and whether there should be an inquiry into the role of the Leader of the Opposition and his Chief of Staff, and the Opposition Chief Whip in their roles in the Speaker overruling the advice of the clerks. This was following the Labour Party’s hijacking of the SNP Opposition Day debate yesterday.
