Simon Baynes, Member of Parliament for Clwyd South, had the honour to attend the National Farmers' Union (NFU) Back British Farming Day Reception in Westminster on Wednesday, 13th September.
Back British Farming Day, which is currently in it's 8th year, aims to promote the value of farmers to the economy and the values that they espouse. The event was attended by representatives of the NFU, including it's President, Minette Batters, Charlie Cooper-Harding, Student and Young Farmer Ambassador for Wales, and Evie Rogers, NFU Student and Young Farmer’s Ambassador for the West Midlands (the latter two of whom are pictured in this article with Mr Baynes). The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Rt Hon Therese Coffey MP, gave the keynote speech.
Speaking after attending the event, Mr Baynes said:
"Our farmers in Clwyd South work tirelessly to produce high-quality food for households across the UK. I am proud of the work that they do, and their exceptional contribution to communities across Clwyd South.
I look forward to continuing working with ambassadors from the NFU, including both Charlie Cooper-Harding, Student and Young Farmer Ambassador for Wales, and Evie Rogers, NFU Student and Young Farmer’s Ambassador for the West Midlands, as well as with our farmers across Clwyd South."
