Representing the needs and interests of companies, organisations and constituents in Clywd South is the most important part of my job as the local Member of Parliament.
I have been campaigning for fertiliser companies such as Neatcrown Corwen Ltd in Clywd South to be included in the support given by the government for high energy intensive businesses. On Tuesday 28th February, I was therefore delighted that the energy minister, Andrew Bowie MP, confirmed in answer to my question in the chamber of the House of Commons, that manufacturers of fertilisers and nitrogen compounds will be eligible to receive a discount on their energy bills until 31st March 2024 as part of the government’s Energy Bill Discount Scheme.
