It was great to have the opportunity to speak in support of the Child Support (Enforcement) Bill, sponsored by Siobhan Baillie MP, in the House of Commons on Friday 17th March. This Bill will mean that parents failing to pay child maintenance will face quicker sanctions, as the Child Maintenance Service would no longer need to apply to the courts for a liability order.
I know that the delays in the system have caused great difficulties for many families in Clwyd South, and so I’m proud to back this Bill that will hopefully help to make a big difference both in my constituency and across the UK.
