Simon Baynes, the Member of Parliament for Clwyd South, has welcomed the news that an agreeable settlement has now been reached between the Plas Power Residents Group and Lightsource BP.
The two groups have been in discussions for a number of months in relation to Lightsource BP's proposals to construct a solar farm on land surrounding their properties near Bersham.
The agreement will minimise impact on residents and preserve the surrounding beautiful green spaces for future generations.
Mr Baynes had met the Plas Power Residents Group on Friday 27th October last year, at the home of Aidan and Sarah Daley, who live close to the proposed Lightsource BP Solar Farm near Bersham in Clwyd South. Following this meeting, Mr Baynes confirmed that he supported the residents, who had expressed their concerns that some of the proposed solar panels, which are 10ft high, would be too close to their houses and that it would take many years for trees to mature in order to mask them, as proposed by Lightsource BP.
