Simon Baynes, the Member of Parliament for Clwyd South, has recently attended the National Association of British Market Authorities (NABMA) Annual Conference in his role as the Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Markets.
Mr Baynes was a guest speaker at the Conference, which was held in Harrogate. As well as speaking at the awards ceremony, Mr Baynes presented a number of awards to market operators across the UK, including Oswestry Market on the Welsh borders, who have made a real difference to their local communities.
Mr Baynes has served as the Chairman since the APPG was reconstituted in July of this year. The APPG aims to ensure the viability and stress the economic importance of the UK’s retail markets industry.
