Member of Parliament for Clwyd South, Simon Baynes MP, recently met with Professor Maria Hinfelaar, Vice-Chancellor of Wrexham Glyndŵr University, to discuss the thriving institution and its £80 million investment programme.
During the meeting on 3rd March, Mr Baynes was impressed to learn about the success of the university’s Campus 2025 investment programme, which is investing £80m in state-of-the-art facilities and equipment for students, as well as the newly opened Health and Education Innovation Quarter (HEIQ). The HEIQ is set to revolutionise healthcare education provision in the region by prioritizing technology-led learning experiences and ensuring that the university is training future professionals to become experts in their chosen fields.
Wrexham Glyndŵr University has an outstanding reputation for providing high levels of student satisfaction and offering a diverse range of courses that address skills shortages in North Wales and the rest of the UK. Their commitment to providing quality education and training for the region’s workforce has been a key factor in their success.
Professor Maria Hinfelaar, Vice-Chancellor of the university commented:
“I was pleased to show Simon around and very proud to share with him all the improvements and upgrades to our estate which we have made over the past few years. It was also good to be able to explain our plans for further transformative work to our facilities, which will benefit students for many years to come.”
Speaking about the meeting, Simon Baynes MP said:
“It was fantastic to hear about the exciting new developments at Wrexham Glyndŵr University.
