On Wednesday, 12th July, Simon Baynes, Member of Parliament for Clwyd South, hosted The Woodland Trust’s Summer Parliamentary Reception in the House of Commons in his capacity as the Chairman of the APPG for Woods and Trees.
At the Reception, guests had the opportunity to hear from a variety of guest speakers. These included Trudy Harrison MP, the Minister for Natural Environment and Land Use in DEFRA, Dr Darren Moorcroft, the Chief Executive of the Woodland Trust and Dr Rebecca Heaton, the Director of Environmental Sustainability for Lloyds Banking Group, as well as Alex Sobel MP, Shadow Minister for the Environment and Nell Miles from the Trust’s Youth Council.
Mr Baynes stated that it was a pleasure to hear from both the Minister and the other guest speakers who took the time to attend as they discussed the Trust’s Nature Recovery Report for England.
