Simon Baynes, the Member of Parliament for Clwyd South, has today chaired a meeting of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Woods and Trees.
During the meeting, members of the APPG were provided with a briefing on heritage trees by the Woodland Trust, which serve as the secretariat for the group. The briefing was organised following the felling of the Sycamore Gap last month.
The APPG aims to raise awareness of the UK's woods and trees and to discuss the steps necessary to protect, restore and expand them in a time of climate and nature crises.
