Simon Baynes, the Member of Parliament for Clwyd South, has today championed Montgomeryshire Day on behalf of Craig Williams MP (whose role as PPS to the Prime Minister precludes him from speaking in the Chamber) in Prime Minister’s Questions.
Mr Baynes grew up at Lake Vyrnwy in Montgomeryshire, where his father ran the hotel.
Mr Baynes highlighted that he believes that Craig is a fantastic champion for Montgomeryshire, where he was born and bred, and as neighbouring MPs they often work on projects together such as the Pant-Llanymynech by-pass and their shared canal network.
Craig and the Farmers' Union of Wales (FUW) hosted a wonderful Montgomeryshire Day reception in the Jubilee Room in the House of Commons today which showcased many farming and food producing businesses in the county.
